It's that time of the year again. When students flock by the thousands to our very own Delhi University, to secure an admission to the college, or course, or both of their choice.
The sweltering heat not withstanding, students are seen milling about the campuses, whether with parents, friends, or even by themselves. Checking out cut-off lists, clearing out various doubts at the help desks, hoping fervently for the cut-offs to go down this year, this is the picture that repeats itself year after year.
But what about the people who don't secure an admission in a good college??
Are their lives done and over with? Do they become outcasts, shunned by the society?
Or are they doomed to an obscure future?
What I'm trying to say is, admission to a 'good' college does not ensure a future for anybody. A girl graduating from Stephen's might chuck all that she has studied for marital bliss, and a girl graduating from Kalindi might clear the entrances of the top PG colleges of India.
Your future is what you make of it. A reputed college no doubt, does ensure 3 years of fun, knowledge and maybe a better exposure than a not-so-good college. But it is not what determines your life.
You could choose to be an introvert, uninterested in the happenings of your 'top' college, or you could try to grab every opportunity that comes your way, the status of your college not withstanding.
Don't let yourself be branded by the tag of the college you carry. It's your capabilities that make you what you are.
As Samuel Johnson has very rightly said, "Your aspirations are your possibilities".
Two friends come together with their thoughts, ideas and how they see the world.

murdering the language...
A recent comment on my 'personal blog' left me kinda perplexed....
This is what it said- "Congo gal"...
huh? i wonder why people say 'Congo' when there is a perfectly good word for it... Congratulations... how difficult is it to use the language the British taught us...
Over the years, the quality of English we use has rather degraded to a shameful level.. And we can't blame the American for fucking our language (if you know what i mean :P)...
'Tute' for tutorial
'comfy' for comfortable
and 'lappy' for laptop
Call 'it laptop' loser...!! How long does it take to say or write it??? ( just a couple of letters more.. I'm sure it takes ages to type).. Or how cool do you look when you take the essence away from a word and rape it.. :P
i personally use a lot abbreviations myself.. BTW, SOS, LOL, LMAO, or many more... But these still make little sense... Say L for laptop for, i'll pardon you.. but if you could type 5 alphabets.. but didn't care to type the whole word out.. trust you me.. It's a shame.. and you're a loser!!!
So i request keep the coolness with you,,,
